Where can you buy good armor?

I noticed that the only armor that is as good as it shows on the cover is in the pvp, not the roleplyaing. Is there a way to aquire armor like that as a roleplaying character? I'm new at the entire mmorpg thing, so i'm really lost. If any of you guys could help me, I'd be very grateful, thank you.

    best armor in prophecies is gotten at droknor's forge.

    Best in factions is Kaineng Center (sp?).

    Firstly, you spelled Kaineng Center correctly.

    As for the armor, I have no idea what armor you're looking for, but I'd put money on it that it's in PvE. In fact, there's more armor in PvE than there is in PvP by miles.

    I'd start with this link -> http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Category:Armor_crafters

    Look around a bit, and you will find the armor that you want. Don't forget that some of the new PvP armors are from Factions and are not available with Prophecies alone and visa versa.

    Thank You for your help, but the link doesn't work, so I'll just google the site. one more question, how much would it likely cost me?

    The highest protection armor for all classes have two price ranges: 1,5plat per piece & 15 plat per piece (then you must have the correct materials aswell). Both sets can have same bonuses so its down to looks.

    Yep. there are exceptions, though. like Monk Tattoos and Necromancer Scar patterns are cheaper, and there's some armor that's even more expensive (FoW armor, which will likely have a converted cost in the millions of gold, including the materials you'll need to make the stuff).

    Also, no need to google the site, it has it's own search feature that works pretty well. just go to the main site and search for "Armor". You should find something at least close to what you're looking for.

     Follow the directions in this post and you will come out with a full suit of armor without having to spend any gold. I played through prophecies with my warrior wearing this armor long before I started collecting the Granite Citidel or Marhan's Grotto armor.

    I have a necro, and the top and bottoms of the bonelace set, I'm almost a lvl 5 and have about 40gold. I finished the across the wall quest, but I can't find any quests that pay any money (no more than 50gold). What set of Necro armor is best? what do I need to get it and where? and if you guys could tell me where some well paying quests are I would be really gratefull. You guys really helped! thnx.

    Sounds to me that you haven't left the noob zone yet. You can your armor from collectors in that section of the game but you really havne't hit the "mainland" yet (uh... so to speak).

    Once you leave and get to "Post Searing" there will be armor crafters there.

    Quite frankly, I don't really think you have to worry about it. Better armor and weapons is good but this game isn't so equipment oriented that you have to worry.

    Let's put it this way. I've never traded with a player for anything and have gotten top armor and perhaps a top weapon (been a little while so I'm not sure what changes were made) and really didn't have to try at all.

    I have the complete bonelace set now, so I'm not dying as much as I was. I just didn't know how to get anything other than what I had. Thanx guys, you really helped.
