Or so I thought. Waiting for 3 hours for the nge to patch is like
getting socks as a christmas present. Mick is singing "Mixed Emotions"
now and is still proving to be wiser than Budda.



I must wipe this thinking away or people will sully my integrity.. they

They're playing "Miss You" now. I miss the game I loved. Will she be

To turn off the over shoulder view, go to Options (default is O...you can remap everything to pre-nge options like I did if you like) and then Controls.  At the bottom of the list there untick "Offset Camera"

As I watch the download time tick away... and after I had to reset my
modem (The computer is still rejecting it. Is it smarter than me? I'm
sure it is, it has a gig of ram).



The old loathing creeps in like THE BIG FEAR. I know it won't be the
same game, and I know it won't be close. But playing CoH waiting for
the frakking thing to give me the zombie of a game just fills me with
dread. Playing a well-made game waiting for a shabby one to download.

I give it until he sees the first particle effects, which did not exist in Star Wars, nor are they Star Warsy. Well, except for the flames and sparks flying off the Stormtroopers armor after a laser hit. But that's not the type we're talking about here.

In NGE, we've got wild particles flying around after a heal. You know, just like when the Medical Droid was fixing Luke up on the Medical Frigate at the end of Empire Strikes Back, and all those blue lights started flying around? What? You don't remember those? Oh, that's right, me neither.

Thought the CU particle effects were bad?  NGE is 1000x worse.  About all they didn't do was bring back the "I mounted my swoop!" blinding flash.

There was that scene in ANH where Vader's pwning Obi-Wan, and the floor turns into a neon grid. Remember? Then the strobe lights kick in, and fog starts pouring out as Obi-Wan starts spamming heals. Vader force runs off, to give his specials time to get ready, then flies back and snares Obi. You know the rest. Obi's heals don't fire, Vader fires some neon bubbles into the air, and Obi's out 5k for cloning sickness. Sad shit. You can really feel his anger when he screams out, "OMG LUKE WFT!!!! WHRE WERE U!!!! WTF!!!!! HES GOT ELDER BUFF U NUB!! I TOLD U 2 HELP ME!!1 YOU FUKING NUB!!!"

We are going to have to start getting tougher here at reporting them when they troll.  Piirg has a whole forum to himself (almost literally) where anti-NGE posters can be smacked down for trolling.

If the mods are fair, the same should happen to pro-NGE posters here.
