Can Hunters tame a beast or is it just a spell and dose it ware off?

Hunters get a spell list called Beastcraft. Within Beastcraft there are spells to Charm Animals, Charm Insects and Summon wolf. The Charm spells allows you get a pet of your choice but the animal/insect you charm can only be at 80% of your level (or below). The Summon Wolf is just that, you "cast" the spell and a wolf appears. Again the wolf is 80% of your level except at the highest level where it is 82%. The Summon Wolf spell is a "shout" meaning it is instant and can be cast at any time, even when running or in combat.
The spell does not wear off and cannot be dispelled by others. The Pet is yours untill you either cancel the spell or the Pet dies in combat.
