i say it is not nessasery to have to pay to get a quality game. personally i like gw over wow. i find the game play better and the pvp is set up alot better too.
and to get good updates, they dont have to charge monthly. remember the companies make more than 1 game each.and there are other ways to get money, exspecially if these companies are stock based like most are. it also depends on what style of game you want to play compared to what the market has to offer.
so, the point is you dont have to pay for it to be a quality game.
Again, quit judging games based on WoW. WoW isn't a good game. It's a total fluke that it ended up with such a large player base. Just because GW is better than WoW, doesn't mean anything. Alot of games are better than WoW. WoW is like the beginners introduction to real MMO's.
