Free trial?

So after the NGE.. killed swg for good (in my book at least). I've been wandering aimlessly from game to game. I still play a little WoW now and then.

I might be willing to try this heap of a game out of sheer boredom, but I've seen nothin about a free trial. Are you kidding? With all the flack this game has taken... and all the pissed off people I've seen writing about it... the makers of DnL are not trying to bring in new poeple... by throwin out a free trial?

Or did I just not see it?

    They don't want people playing the game just now - I mean by all accounts it's not a game, it's a massively several player online joke. Running a free trial or doing anything which would attract players to the game in its current state would hammer another nail into the coffin.

    Since they've made the subscriptions free anyway they'd be better off closing D&L to new players and declaring it beta. Fix their bugs. Try again later to launch with a playable game.

    DONT give this company your money. Not only do you risk having tons of problems with the billing, the reports of people having bigtime hassles with them would fill pages over pages of complaints, you will also support a company that obviously lied and still continues lying to their customers in every sentence and statement they make and issue. Plus ignores intellectual property rights and seriously believes that anybody would be happy to throw their money down their throats for all of this, keeping them alive until they can somehow throw the game over to Asia.

    Do yourself and everybody else the favor NOT to give them money. There is no trial, there will probably be no servers sooner or later and you face a big chance of not getting your money back if you (like most others) find out that the game doesnt even live up to the worst expectations.

    Played Wow, D and L, AOC, GW, Eve, Rift and many more insignificant games.

    Thanks for all the feedback, and thanks for the link. I have no intention of buying this game...its just not worth it. Too many bad reviews...and I dont think I'd be able to stomach it... even as bored as I am. I decided to try free shadowbane, and some others that are in beta.  I was tempted to try DnL if there was a free trial...but since there isnt...oh well.

    Even if they put a free trial... AVOID THIS GAME!  ;)

    IMHO, is just a hoax, not a game.
