There went CCP's budget for the next 6 months. Looks like no new content. Wait a sec.....

I'll say this for CCP they do promote their product, which is more than I can say for other companies in the past. Hey Larry Probst over at EA you taking notes bud? This is how you support your products!!
Originally posted by moxuout2 I think its more funny that they advertise protecting your PC from spyware and viruses. You make the PC's shouldn't you protect them yourself?
Since when did the manufactor of an PC, protect it against spyware and viruses? That's the job for those who develop OS(Which, is what MS does - I'm just nitpicking on you).
But really, it seems like EVE's total amount of subscribers are increasing. Probaly because it's legal to sell time-cards for ISK, ingame, which makes it easier for the vets to support several accounts.. Without spending a dime on 'em.
I'd love to play eve but I just can't get past the fact that the player has no control over how fast they advance. The rest of the game is flawless though, but the advancement system is a gamebreaker for me
Yeah that is a pretty shameful example of self promotion. CCP should be ashamed. And in my intenet travels I stumbled accross this blantant attempt promoting thier product... be warned this is not pretty:

I don't get it, I think people going there would know that's what the site is for. Doesn't everyone promote their product on their own website?...
That ad on the Direct X site has been there for literally years. But what's the big deal? Two companies in a legitimate business arrangement, oh the scandal! Microsoft gives dedicated support for their software solutions (DX, MSSQL, Windows Server) and a permanent ad space, and CCP remains exclusive to MS products. For such a small startup that CCP was, its amazing that MS even gave them support. And because of this support, look where they are now.
Now, I don't like MS any more than most real computer users. But really, if you game at all you can't get by with out it. Learn to live with the fact that Microsoft, for now, dominates the PC market, and that software companies might have to work closely with them to be successful.

Just put a space after the link and it will work.

What is so shocking about a company wishing to expand awareness of their product and maybe even get some new subscribers and maybe even some new fans?
EDIT: spelling.
