This was talked about last week a bit, but I have just been trying to keep an eye on it for anything new before I talked about it.
E3: Los Angeles Is Dead. All Hail E3: Las Vegas
So hopefully I won't have to be driving too far for the next version of E3. All of what...7 miles to the Convention Center by the Hilton where CES is held. WOOHOO
Party at my place next year!
"What is it I have against Microsoft, you ask? Well, you know how you feel when you wait for an MMO to come out and when it does you feel like you've paid to play it's beta test for another 6-9 months before anything even thinks of working the way it should? Being a network engineer you feel that way about anything Microsoft puts out."

I'm positive E3 won't die and expo's that (will) mimmick it wont.

RISING DRAGOON ~AION US ONLINE LEGION for Elyos
The problem as it stands for E3 LA is that they've lost many of the big developers and companies (which spawned the entire downsizing to start with). While E3 has been the king of gaming conventions for quite some time CES holds that crown when it comes to overall computer and computer-related technology.
If CES does opt to pick up the ball that has been dropped in the currect E3's wake it would probably have enough clout and pull to bring back a lot of those developers and manufacturers who pulled out to begin with. Between CES and Defcon Las Vegas already has some great computer related conventions.

As I stated in a post earlier this evening WCG is also a massive gaming festival and although less heard of still has massive popularity.
P.S. Nobody replied to my WCG post... damnit!
