Hahaha, for your information, i have played pretty much every retail game on the gamelist at some point (even Second Life and the niche games like that) and pretty much all the Korean free to play ones. Iv also betad a hell of alot of games, so i guess that blows your "you probably havnt played many" statement out the window. One of my first MMORPGS was infact Lineage (the original) and damn i loved that game, it was great, its still great now it just has a low population on the NA servers which is ashame. I wish i could speak Korean just to get to play on some heavily populated servers again.
Currently i casually play FFXI (although i havnt played for the last few days), when i say casually i mean maybe 3 hours a day max, mostly becasue i am bored of all other games that are out or i am burnt out on them (that what happend with me on L2). So until a great game comes out, one that will hold my attention for atleast a year (like Lineage and Myth of Soma did) i guess ill carry on game hopping as much as i like.

You sure do defend it like its such a great game to only play it casually lol. And I dont know where you get the idea that i was talking specifically to you. Jeez calm down dude. I never "acted like i know you." If you notice my posts are general. Chill out and stop taking offense to stuff lol. None of my posts have been aimed at anyone specifically. I dont get into going back and forth on message boards because its a waste of my time. I just like giving my two cents. I just dont see how anyone can go from L2 to ffxi and think its better. I see what you mean about going from L2 to FFXI, i did play a few other in between and initially i enjoyed L2 the most when i was playing it, but then i just got fed up i guess and when your fed up with a game all the other games seem better.
Ill probably give L2 another try at chronicle 5 just to see whats going on with it, although i did hear a rumor that C5 is the last chronicle update that the NA servers will get where as the Korean servers will get all 12 ? i think it was 12 anyway. Do you (or anyone else) know if that rumor is true. It would be a shame if it is, I dont see why we shouldnt get all the chronicles as well unless they are bringing out Lineage 3 anytime soon.

I don't know if the rumor is true or not but I know you have read my other post and my basic assumptions of NCSofts path in the future and how they will deal with the western market. They are abandoning us.
Honestly, would it surprise you if they did leave L2 as it stands right now? After 2 years we capped out at 89k subs and are now backsliding. The overall trend is the NA MMO market is shrinking.
There are big shifts happening in the MMO industry right now. Many people on MMORPG.com are so caught up in flaming one another over who's game has better kill task, they are missing the big picture.
This implosion on the MMORPG scene is really needed, IMHO. SO far, (espscecially recently) there have been far too many sub-par MMO's being released, and not offering the content that either was promised, or expected.
MMO's should be no different than any other genre in gaming - hell, any othoer product on the market. We should all be expecting quality games if the publishers see it fit to charge us monthly.
I always thought NCSoft were carrying too many eggs in their basket. AA has proven this.

I find it truely amazing that MMO's have actually gotten worse in overall scope, design and execution over the last two years and no one has really caught onto it yet. Everyone is to busy praising WoW for its superior kill task and capture the flag.
We will have all 12 chronicles released in NA. Chronicle 5 is the last major update that will be titled "chronicle" because it is ending the first chapter of the story.

Thats correct. It is the last major update called "chronicle." So we will still be getting more expansions like chronicles, except they will be called something different ie. "chapter" or something.
Every update Korea Gets we get it...we just get it a little later.
