Doesnt matter how cool you make EQ2 looks like, SWG also seemed awesome and its just a crap bunch of unplayable nice graphics.

Sony is not a MMORPG greenhorn. They will pull off a great MMORPG. Plus they will get every kink outa it a month before they release it, unlike SWG.

Im new to these boards,but ill give it my best  shot.Sony overall pisses me off,not only for over rated games like EQ,but for trying to take a great company like Nintendo,and run it into the ground by fooling people whom i like to call "false gamers".These people are those who only care about a DVD player,or graphics,but not gameplay.Why do i post this here?Because they are trying agin to capture an audiance of people by the prettiness of the game(galaxies,and looking at EQ2) instead of the game itself.I would rather play DAoC than EQ anyday.EQ has a crap load of expansions that add a little bit more everytime,and cause ppl even more $$ then for the classic game,the monthly fee,and now the expansions!?!Guild Wars and WoW should both blow EQ2 out,or atleast in my opinion.

If MMORPGs are addicting us,and keeping us 24/7,then why are we wasting our importing leveling time here?

 BTW, EQ2 has zero in common with SWG. Different game DEV teams, Different direct companies working on them, different game worlds, background. Just the same parent company is in both pictures.

DAOC is completely different from EQ, so you can't really compare them, but to say that you did or did not like either game. I have noticed that more people are leaving the WoW bandwagon over the past few months. This may be because of Blizzard cutting out of the game. EQII can not be a bomb because it just can't. It has realitivly the same EQ engine, only more classes, a different world, and better graphics. Yes I know there are still many more differences between EQ and EQII but I will not go there. Don't just talk WoW and EQII, what about Lineage II? That boasts great graphics and is a totally different game from WoW and EQII. I doubt either game will be a SWG repeat- keeping up the hype to keep gamers from the truth of the game -but these games may have serious problems which turn off gamers. Look at Horizons. Its a great game, somewhat hyped up, advertising the HZ playable dragons on the box and having "for the first time in a massivly multiplayer online RPG, play as a dragon!" But it turned out average in the end. Thats with its many bugs and lag fixed. We will just have to see how the games turn out. I am sure we will be very surprised.

EQ2 will get my money and I don't think they will mess up with this game.  They have had so much time to prepare it because of the success of the original EQ.  They are still taking their time....
