A few days ago, someone started a thread asking the question "Do you want NGE?" I watched that thread, and after all the wasted posts and internal discussions I only counted (at best) 1 "Yes" votes calling for a NGE environment.

I know a lot of people are making the claim that the majority of subs want Pre-CU and they are right. The number even floating around from the Pre-CU crowd is that "90%" want a roll back.

Well, we all now know that is Absolute true.

So before anyone want to irresponsibly go out and make a claim that "90%" or the "majority" of people want a Pre-CU gaming environment.......lol.....the numbers do show it. I even used a conservative subscriber number of 150k to get the calculation. If I used a far more realistic number, like 175k or even 190k, the percentage gets even smaller.

If you take the number of subscribers from the "emulator" side, the number is a bit more encouraging. Just a whopping 90% want pre-cu and they are even making an emu to show how much they want it. Again based on a 150k conservative number,

So all this talk about Pre-CU is in such big demand is just amazing. NGE is pure bogus

So if you want to play Pre-CU today, ask for classic servers. the Devs are listening.

People want diversification, the Devs are delivering diversification is an appaling way we want 32 profs.
People want Grauls in Dantooine to be harder to kill, the Devs made it harder to kill but the xp is so rubbish and boring.
People want Target lock, the Devs have delivered Auto Aim but it isnt, its not that but a buged rubbish version.
People want Decay, the Devs have admitted their mistake in regards to decay and are trying to deliver it but this wont happen as the devs dont care about crafters

So kill any hope of NGE working just ask for Pre-NGE.

0.017% of people who chose to participate in the thread in question have stated they like NGE.

There's lies, there's bigger lies and there's statistics.

NGE was not well received, which was proven beyond a shadow of a doubt by all the cancellations. How many is irrelevant, but there were significant numbers.

The above sample is statistically useless. It includes only current subscribers. 100% of people who do not play WoW dislike WoW. Over 6 million people like WoW.

Anyone who is still subscribed and participates in forums has a certain positive bias towards NGE. Even those that only troll forums do so because of community.

Sorry, but this number is worthless.

There is no such thing as fair and balanced.  Not in an MMORPG, and not in forums, and not in news coverage.  Until we have unbiased robots delivering our content, there won't be either.

You have to get your news from multiple sources, then form your own opinion.  If you only watch one news source it's gonna be biassed.  There isn't a single unbiassed news agency out there.

Just an FYI, 6 million people do not "like" WoW.  6 million people were interested enough in WoW to purchase the game, there are not 6 million active players.  Current subscription values put it in the 500 - 750k range.  Which is very impressive, but not 6 million.

Also, it should be noted that while I hate the NGE and would LOVE to see the .016 Stat be real, I think it must be said that the original thread on SWG (and copied here) is pointless as the same person posted the exact same post with the exact opposite results 5 seconds after posting the one you illistrated here.

Hi, I always enjoy talking politics and SWG, long time lurker here..

so if anyone really thinks one side of the media has the bias in over another you are pretty gullable.
Both sides of the media are catering to a side, Fox is just much more obvious, but I do find it funny how threatened people feel over it, people should be able to choose what they want to watch, even if they are misguided.

The other side has beat into many heads topics they consider important such as; stem cells are the cure all, global warming, hate speech is the worse than actual murder, business is bad but socialism is good, smokers are bad people, etc.. it's more subtle than a angry white man screaming at you but real effective. Mainly they do it by making people feel intellegent if they support these things but generally they don't know much about any of the topics.

SWG, I am not sure if the forums are a bias or a real good look at how the game has pissed off the hardcore customers. Master of the obvious!
