How do you lose XP or Items?

What are the conditions where you could lose XP or items? Can players attack you and in your death cause you to lose equipment and XP? Or is XP loss only linked to PvE encounters

This is the PvP Table. (sorry for translations, it's italian - Azione = Action - Risultato = Result)

Every time you "die", u'll lose something in xp.

In a 1/2 clanwarr u'll lose only 1% (and then less if u'r resurrected with % or brez)

Also in sieges u'll lose only 1%. On PvE, at high lvls, u'll lose 4%.

This is the DROP table. (again translations - Ucciso da = Killed by)

In these situations u'll have a [b]%[/b] to drop something.

Also helps to note that you don't lose xp in the coluseum or arena.

You can drop items if you are killed by a mob or if you are chaotic (red name because you pk'ed a person and have more than 5 pk's)

Yup. When you kill another player, your fame become negative and your name starts turning red. The more people you kill the redder your name is. However, the redder your name becomes, the higher the chances of you dropping your equipment or items. So if you keep PVPing and getting super high fame, you pretty much become a beacon for other PVPers to kill and loot.

So watch out.

What if someone else attacks you first and you manage to kill the attacker? Does that affect your karma?

If someone attacks you their name turns purple. As soon as you start attacking back you name turns purple.
If yoiu kill the attacker your name will remain purple for... oh.. I don't know 15-20 seconds (something like that) and then it will turn back to white. your karma will be fine.

If the attacker kills you after you defended yourself his name will turn back to white. If you don't fight back and he kills you then his name will turn red and he will accrue karma.

So it all depends on whether you want to just stand there and take it? Sounds pretty simple to me....

Unless you lose xp from pvp. If that's the case, then that's pretty gay.

You do lose xp from PvP. I think it sucks too but others like it. In sieges you only lose 1%. In arena you don't lose anything.

otherwise you lose about 4%
might be more at the lower lvls but you an gain that back quickly. It's the higher lvls where it sucks which is why people carry blessed rez scrolls and get experience rezzes from the classes that can give them.

It´s not 1% if you die in a Clan war you lose 1/4 % exp off a normal death and 1/4 % off a normal death in a Siege... the higher lvl you are the less Exp you lose..
the exp losses should lie around 1-51 8-4% and 52-78 4-XX% decreasing the higher lvl

Well, at high lvls, at big lines, u'll lose "around" 4%, so, shortly 1/4 of 4% is 1%, then something less, ok
