LoTR is supposed to release this year?!

is the beta for it open yet? Has Turbine been hyping it while I was asleep? HTF are they gonna release two games in one year?

    Turbine probably needs their next milestone check and will rush LoTR to market to get it.  The same scenerio happened with AC2 and look how good that turned out.

    1: stupid to release a game without extensive testing (not that they have to release on time, but you know what i mean)

    2: typical Turbine (also stupid, especially with a name like LoTR)

    3: a good way to release two half-ass games [also typical (of the genre) and also stupid]

    I signed up for thier closed beta, not exactly sure when thats supposed to start though. Reading the Lotr forums it seems that the are gearing up to release soon.

    Beta is supposedly set to start this summer (around July/Aug) from what I'm told. 

    I'm not exactly holding my breath for a quality product.  This is Turbine we're talking about.
