Favorite RTS franchise?

Just curious.

Yeah, I know there's a lot of good franchises missing, but I only have 10 slots. Remember this doesn't include games that aren't a RTS franchise(Starcraft, Dawn of War and so on)b

Yeah I know what you mean. It's always difficult to choose only one. I chose C&C over Wc3x though, because it was one the first game that really felt was something special. Still love the original game to this day.

I love Total Annihilation, I still have the soundtrack on my PC. C&C comes a close second.

My First RTS was a game called Dominion. They really knew how to do great RTS. I wish they had gone forward.

I was suprised you had cossacks as a choice in the poll, I was prepared to bypass the poll and ask you to include it.

I loved cossacks.    I found the map editor on the demo of the original cossacks by accident way back around october of 2000.   I played it relgiously onling.

no starcraft? aw, well either that, Rome, or age of empires.  Battle for middle earth was fun for a while, but it got boring.

Hehe. Yeah, Cossacks might not be the first thing you think of when talking about RTS games, but I really liked that game too. I like the idea of having total control over a single unit, and yet having epic battles. Also the fact that men died easily. Nothing cooler than having a brigade of 200 dragoons massacre a line of footsoldiers!
