If you wana know how your PC will hold up to Lineage 2 just play UT2k3. Its basically the same engine (well it is, just modified). I can run UT2k3 at 1600x1200 with an over 100FPS so im not worried
I usually don't get all stupid over a game, but the more I'm reading into Lineage II, the more this game looks awesome. Yeah it sounds like 100% of all the other MMORPGs, but it just looks damn neat too...
I'm thinking about being a dwarf... they just rock! I've never been a big elf fan or Orc... so... We'll see.

I can easily do 1600x1200 with max settings on everything and 8AA and 8FSAA.. so... I'm not worried either... anything DX 8.1 I own... I even own DX9 games.

I doubt it. They will probably make the Korean servers unavailable to US and the US servers unavailable in Korea. They are two separate betas after all.

I am working with the Lineage 2 Beta. Both the Korean Beta and the US Beta.
By normal registration, the Beta's are restricted to their immediate areas. Ie. US will not be accepted into Korea and Korea will not be accepted into US.

If anyone believes the US server's will lack population because of regional restrictions, i'm sorry to say but they are missguided.
Lineage 2 is one of the most anticipated mmorpg releases for 2004. The Northern America's alone have sufficient gaming population to house any mmorpg, provided the interest in the release and there after remains.
With a dramatic diffference in gaming population between the US and Korea, be thankful the server's are region restricted and your not facing language / dialogue interface problems with lag spikes out the hoo ha.

Well the Korean beta has definetly started. Considering they want to start the game at the same time as the Korean version releases, the beta should start very soon.
I can't get anyone to understand this. Send a email or a letter to the company, requesting to beta and you will get picked. Try it and you will get a reply. Devs can't ever seem to get enough beta testers.

There is definately a lot of overlap between MMOPRG's, however I don't recall ever being able to fly on a drgaon in any of the other games i've played. hehehe

I think having different servers is a great idea. Look at FFXI which shares servers. Its really unfair to the US players who when they first join in they have Japanese players already monthst ahead of them. They should be glad the game has no pvp...
A unique server for countries will offer balance from the start.
I agree. Whenever a certain country or area gets a couple month head start it wrecks the beginning of the game for the new players who bought the game at the initial release in their country. One of the best parts about getting a brand new MMO is being at the top right at the beginning and having everyone at your same level. This will not happen if a foreign country had release two months earlier.

bc the communiy is bigger in korea then in the us !
so this would be that there isn't a very large amount of players in the us when it is released over the korean severs
