Bought EVE Online then I....

... never played it. Havnt had a reason to yet. I got it for 20 bucks, and got caught up in game I already had or the ones i got for Xmas.
Can anyone tell me some GOOD features about this game? Instead of complaining about tht bad ones and why i shouldnt play, I wanna hear why i SHOULD play it.

you downloaded it and then never "had a reason to play it?" Thats a little odd
A. If you dont like Sci-fi dont play it
B. If you're gonna go into the game thinking, this is gonna suck, dont play it.
This game is hard-core Sci-fi. There are player pirates as well as miners, agent mission runners, merchants, bounty hunters, etc. Not to mention, PvP is very very very intense. If you absolutley hate PvP then you need to hang around the 1.0 security sectors (sorta noob systems)
However, you dont pick "bounty hunter" or "Pirate" then off you go. You train skills that are first given to you with your character then you must buy the rest. Many skills need previous skills in order to learn them. I would be safe to assume there are about 200 different skills to learn and accesible to everyone as long as you have the patience and money.
Its impossible to speed your way to elitness. Skills take the same time to learn as everyone elses same skill. There are different levels of skill. For example a Rank 1 Mining skill from level 3 to level 4 can take around 1 Day 17 hours to complete; however to learn a rank 5 amarr cruiser skill from level 3 to level 4 will take nine days.
Then you have other skills and implants that can help decrease your skill time.
Isk (money) is pretty good to make as you have many options.
A. You can mine
B. You can do NPC Agent missions
C. You can bounty hunt real players (many pirates have millions and millions of isk on their head)
D. Or you can be a pirate and "tractor beam" them from going anywhere then you can force them to pay you a toll or give you lots of isk or you can destroy them.
The graphics are simply the best graphics I have ever seen in a mmorpg. The ship selection is rather big and more ships are being created by the Developers right now.
Other than this, you're just going to have to play the game and see for yourself.
Finally, the learning curve is big; meaning you just cant hope on the game and fly away to elitness...it takes time to figure everything out but there's a tutorial to help you out.
One last thing i should point out. A bunch of people calculated how big the zones are in this game.
If you never used your warp drives and used only jumpgates, it will take you literally 88 years to go from one end of the solar system to the other end of an other system in the galaxy. Yes, 88 years. How many games do u know of that will let your character walk or run for 88 years in a zone or planet?

When I BETA tested EVE (and boy was it broken!!!) it was one of my favorite MMORPGs! The music was perfect for the game, the game it self is huge! The way they have the servers hooked up is one big server, 100,000+ can be on-line at one time.
If you like EverQuest then this game isn't for you and you should get Earth & Beyond (aka EQ in Space)...

it did what Anarchy Online did....a complete turn around. You should see some of the tech 2 stuff they just released.

A started the same day as a friend of mine, and I currently have 200,450 more points than him. And we are studying the skills at the same pace.....
There are certain things you should do at the very beginning of the game (other than altering your attributes) that will give you a tremendous advantage.
Also, since there are well over 100 skills available, not everyone will have the same skills. I know players that have been on since release back in April 03 that have totally different skills than others that started the same time
