...and no, it doesn't have anything to do with the speed of forums. If any of you have been to GameDev.net before, you will know that they have a brilliant 'rate user' tool. You start with 1000 points, which are clearly visible to everyone, and if you do something bad/annoying, you lose points. Of course it's easier to lose points that it is to gain, so more of the challenge to be 'mature'.
Now I know this is a little bit similar to the rank system, in so far as your reaching out to gain that star, but it doesn't prove what kind of a forum user the person is.
Any thoughts?
