I'm guessing from what I've read that this game is going to be hardware intensive, so best save up some cash for that new gaming PC.
This is the best list of requirements I found on their website:
(excerp from PotBS online FAQ) 1.03 What are the game's system requirements? Very high. We are optimizing the game for the latest DirectX 9.0-class cards, and are making use of both DX9 and PixelShader 2. We're also using very high-resolution textures, so if you have a card with as much as 256MB of RAM, we can put it to work. But at a minimum, you'll need a 1 gHz or better machine with at least an Nvidia GeForce 4 video card or comparable. You will also need a broadband internet connection such as DSL or cable modem.
1.04 You mean I can't play by dial-up modem? / Why do I need broadband? We're delivering the game entirely online, and downloading hundreds of megabytes of files over dial-up would be painful.
With the last milestone, they said they have it optimized to run on 9600 (or equiv)/512MB ram systems, which is a step in the right direction for ALOT of gamers. Still the broadband requirement, but I couldn't imagine playing a realtime ship combat game on a 56k... that would be horrendus.

Ouch. I couldn't even consider playing a MMO over dialup. It would be time to hit the old Sid Meier classic!
O right i got 256mb and 2.0 but i am still gonna upgrade to double 7800 gt or gs
