Draig, that is the most amazingly complete post I've ever seen. LMFAO. As for the OP, alot of people like playing this game, if you don't, well then go play something else, I would continue playing even if it was rated 4.5/10 but then again, compared to most other titles out there, that isn't likely to happening any time soon unless CCP decides to take example from Codemasters or Electronic Arts and close down extremely successful titles in order to release new games.

Never thought of myself as MMORPG player more happy carrying a nicely rendered M16. Tried WOW thought it was ok but never got past trial. Tried EVE .......... that was 19 days ago now getting in at least 2 hrs a day

eve is the best mmo out there at the moment...but its an aquired taste...you have to work hard to get the benefits back from the game instead of standing there twatting a rat on the head for 3 copper...eve is set for great things to come!!

Anyway, for two posts and complaining about the game in such a plain and uninteresting stand the person, OP either
* Never played the game
* Was a carebear and didn't communicate in-game
* Stayed in newbie corp and got pod killed 3 days in and couldn't handle the back lash.
Such basic mistakes even those in the help channel you CANNOT CLOSE when on a trial or buddy account, will tell you to get moving and specialise, there is no such thing as an Eve all-rounder. Not unles you have been there since Beta. Please if your going to troll. Make the OP worthwhile, otherwise, go and play with you stick, like all the kid's your age.

EVE rocks , once you get into it and join a decent player run corp theres tons to do the list is endless ,i can easily sit down and play this game for 16 or so hours a day the player comunity leaves other games far behind , wot other games apart from the sims has player party`s in rl thesocial aspect is mega kewl .
hope to see you all at the hogs head pub leciester square london around 18.00 hours on the 8th april for this years eve party , its gonna be awesome same as last year
eve deserves to be rated in the top 3 games of all time .

The review rating is explained quite simply.
The reviewer first gave a low score, then returned to the game in his own time, played it for longer then the customary 3 days, and noticed that things started to make sense. OPtions became apparent, and the unique nature of the game opened up to him.
Then he gave it an 8.3
As to the community rating, same things. 20% of those that start start by giving a 5.0 or something after a few days, because htey dont know where to start and therefore assume there's nothing to do.
However, 80% gets it right from the start, or stays around longer and gets it right in the end. All of these people rate it at a 9 or 10, pushing that average up, up and up.
Was that so hard to get ? You can come back here to adjust your earlier rating, that's what make it possible for Eve to be on top. If the first rating were final here, I bet we'd see Eve drop to a comfortable 7.2 or something. But then again, we rate a game here, not its new player experience.
I agree EVE sux and SWG was robbed at those awards.........................
