Who thinks that this game is going straight down hill

If you think this game is going straight down hill, post some thoughts on what you think will improve this game.

I think it's improving. If you go to the forums and see what the devs are saying and the like, you would probably feel the same.

The forum is censored in a BIG way. Anything that isn't telling you how fabulous and glorious everything is......gets deleted..... and the People that do it get banned.

Stick to independant forums. While I on the whole enjoy Sony products, their forums are a joke. You wont find any dissent in there. A lot of games company run forums, censor their posts to portray their products in a good light. Not many are as heavy handed or blatent about it as Sony.

I used to enjoy the Monolith forums.

 They had the usual members forum where you can only post if you have an active subscription. (People who have problems with the game unsubscribe and instantly lose the ability to communicate those issues with other fans. This a basic form of censorship most MMO's enforce).

Monolith, however ran a public forum too that anyone could subscibe too. Typically it was full of Current players argueing with Ex players about the merits and flaws of the game, in reply to people asking if it was worth buying. Great. The game was utter pants and you could explain this to people before they threw their money down the toilet.

Now it's a Sony forum where you get banned for posting about any issues any of their game might have.

Is it going to downhill ? Well, you can't really go downhill if your already lying flat on your bace at the bottom.

I'll always love MxO to some degree and mostly for what it could have been but the game has been absolute mess since day one. It's one of the few games that I've beta tested that actually played much much better during testing then actual release... Not good.

Is it getting better ? Nope and it's steadily loosing what was left of a charming little community, being replaced by SOE station access players that care little for the game and are there to harrass people.

As for the monthly fee, I'm not going to justify such a silly question.

I'd like it if they just revised the combat system its too unique. come on you have to win a fight by luck.

I got this game when it first came out, it was fun but i had to stop playing because the servers were so laggy anyways i picked up the game again recently loged in the fixed the game up alot sence the last time i played but im still getting lagg from the servers

A little late but, oh well.

Since SOE took over, there are hundreds upon thousands of ideas in my head that will improve MxO a ton.

For example, SOE should get a real dev. team to focus on MxO, not releasing 3 EQII expansion packs a month.  I actually made a list of bugs I've encountered upon my journies, and it's grown to be very big.  Also, I think they should make more servers.  6 would be enough, since it'd reduce lag by tons instead of cramming people in 3 servers (all in one city, too!).

The thing I hate the most is the requirements.  SOE is basically telling you to spend $3,000+ on an Alienware supercomputer to play this game nicely.  Even it's minimum requirements, 512MB of RAM, will get you little to nowhere.  Luckily, I have 1gig+ of RAM and a pretty decent graphics card.

-Better mission system.
-A LET team
-Combat upgrade...will soon be released
-Better constructs
-Better Faction/Crew manangement
-Live Events should be moore frequent
-District reflows
-New areas to explore

I think this game has gone no where since the merge. Sony took on a project once again that they couldnt handle. They have not been able to have good customer service, becuase there response is always and i am not joking, look at your computer it is not us. I crash like crazy now since patch 40. I have crashed 54 times in one week. I was told oh look into your specs on your CPU and i was like wtf lol. The bugs are insane. And thats all i have to say. Besides that the Community and the people are great. The radio station make it great with partys and the RP is very good. But on the line of SOE making this game into crap i Agree!

huh....Storyline chars are controlled by Devs, not a LET team....LET existed when Monolith were in charge, but it cost too much for SOE, I hope that the "Massive ads" will bring in some money to a new LET team.

well LET now has an other name, it's called LESIG now, and it's true that they can't control storyline characters but they do help SOE get the LE back, they advise SOE.

i upgraded my RAM to play this beast when it launched.. or was it a little while after launch, anyway the combat was -different- and enjoyable to watch but the mission system was just pure grind.

can't really say that there was any benefit from the above. I personally found the game rather boring apart from the hyper-jump , but some of the ongoing story was quite good..And now it's in the hands of SOE god help any MxO'ers out there!

In beta, it was already lying below the hill, asking for a medic... Cant roll much further down from there.

But now its an SOE product. In six months, they will rewamp the game, and everyone will be Neo, and have two skills: Kick and Jump. Somehow, they will consider this an improvement.

Im so glad nobody that flames this game actually has played the combat revamp. I get laughs all day long reading everybodies posts about how its going to make it so much simpler... right...
