Ok well me and my family arent all that rich
so this Xmas i have to decide between 2 things
I can eitehr get a New CPU and MOBO ( AMD 3700+ )
or
An iPOD (the new one with the video and stuff)
so yea i have to decide and its really hard to
so can u guys help me out??

it depends what you do ... if your like a hardcore gamer then go for the computer stuff
but if you listen to music and like to watch videos then get the new ipod... those are prettty expensive if i remember right , around 300. but yeah you can dl videos and watch them on the ipod and music and all that good stuff (not spose to be talking about illegal downloading)
why the hell get an ipod there are better players and even video players not to mention you dont have to deal with itunes and gus if your really a "revolutionary" and not a poser you wont get an ipod because then you can "get music from less legitimate sources" and stick it to the man.....

only on TV actually the displays are near the same......

It depends what games you play? like if you play mmo's do you lagg? are you planning on getting the new ones that come out? can your comp handle the new mmo's?
FPS'er? Can you play CS good, can you play BF2 good?
If you can play those with 0 lagg and excede the requirments for upcomming games get the ipod, but personally even if i did fit the requirments i'd get the comp stuff
Id go for the comp stuff in a second, Ipods are overrated.
Go to Google and type ipod sucks in the search field. Read some of the links that come back. Then, ask yourself: Will I feel good about having an ipod if my comp specs fall behind pc game requirements?
I've thought about buying an ipod. The advertising campaign for it has burned an image of the little white player into my brain. But as cool as an ipod looks it isn't the best value compared to other mps players, so I've managed to resist my impulses.
I think it's better to upgrade your comp and then figure out a way to get more money for an ipod, if you really, really want one of those things. Less expensive players handle mp3, wma, ogg files, etc., as good as an ipod, you know. As for the video feature, well, how many times will you watch a video on that tiny screen before you go blind? A screen so small has no practical use except maybe for whacking off to pr0n under the blankets.
IPods are overrated, however I looked at the computer specs you displayed in your sig, and they aren't half bad. I'd say just grab the IPod or an equivalent (Talk of a Toshiba earlier, I had a Toshiba laptop pretty high quality and reliable) because your computer specs are already fairly solid. If you really want to upgrade your computer go for it, but it seems like you'd want to wait until next Christmas to do that, your computer will be able to handle any game until at least then.
