Thinking about joining this game when the NGE comes to SWG

On the 15th SWG is being ruined and i'm leavin it

does this game have any faction based PVP?

Or open PVP

Yes. At the moment there is an event happenening where there is full scale faction pvp limmited to one specific zone.

unfortunatley (if you are in to pvp) it consists of "I can hit my button faster then you so i win". There is absolutley no skill what so ever involved in the pvp.

if you don't like PvP well then it is rather dissapointing as wll since they are going to bring in FvF over all areas in the game.

But then again no one knows how any of this will pan out. It might just be so that everyone will be happy and they succed to balance the pvp to allow for some measure of skill... Higley unlikley tho

Episode 2 has been running for over a month now and that is faction based PvP.

Outposts are going onto the player test server in the next few weeks which are guild conquerable towns.

Also a worldwide faction pvp system will start soon too
