Patch trouble!

I downloaded a bunch of patches and when i turn on the *anarchy patcher* it say:
Couldnt find any valid patches to apply
Could I be downloading wrong. Please help, im so lost!

EDITED: Ive found the problem. Alls i had to do was delete the patches folders and WAHLA! 
I also am wondering though, When I download a patch and install it to the Anarchy main directory folder, does it insert it self into the game?

hey! i download the installer & patches. took over 2hrs...jus for the patches.
then when i try to enter the game, it makes me d/l the patches again.
it asks me the same questions. then i reinstalled the game.
& d/l the patches again!
i dont even see where the AO program is. i see the AO installer.exe...
help!
