    I can't wait until it's apparent they've used EQ to make their "new game" so Daybreak can collect them millions in fines.

    What’s the monetization? I just scanned the Kickstarter so maybe I missed it but the rewards just seem to be beta access? No game purchase?

    I think based upon different tiers of their kickstarter there seems to be beta access & some sorts of cosmetics &/or reserving character names, npc names, etcetera.

    I got to the livestream late, but I think they stated monetization is still undetermined for actual game purchase &/or subscription, but in-game will only be cosmetics.

    Lol you must work for Daybreak, otherwise this is a braindead as it comes

    DBG settled with them, as in couldn't win the case so settled, didn't want to go to discovery because of the scammy things they were hiding so settled, would have been a lose/lose to go against your own fans so settled, they did not win the lawsuit

    The dev team is on their contributor page, they have industry veterans building the game from the ground up. Watch the video and stop this clown behavior

    He said they stole ideas... Daybreak hasn't had a new idea since they took over from SoE...

    For Daybreak partnering with a 3rd party company formed from some of the most successful creators of *allowed* emus, acting as a publisher using their Daybreak login servers, giving the 3rd party creative control, seems like a pretty new idea to me.

    I’m not sure how they bounced back so quickly. Perhaps the settlement helped. They do say they are using ai for prototyping so that could save time. But only a 100k ask?

    What a shockingly ignorant comment. THJ literally stole every bit of its lore, geography, dungeon design and graphical assets from EverQuest. Anything they "added" to the game is irrelevant. THJ are the thieves here.

    In a vacuum, I would have been somewhat interested in Hollowed Oath, but the THJ community has been so obnoxious about EQ Legends, I have no interest in going anywhere near them or the game they are pinning their hopes on.
