How many were bought by scalpers using bots to turn around and resell for a profit is the real question.

Was thinking about maybe ordering one tin the next few weeks once regular users had a chance to review it properly with some feedback, how it holds up etc, didnt realize it was going to sell out like some new console.

I am in no rush for one when i want to use a controller for some Steam games i generally hook up one of my PS5 dualsense controllers.

i can wait until they have stock consistently, definately not willing to play the online rush to chekout game for a controller like i have for consoles.

We rely on these first adopters though, as you say they give the feedback that firms the ideas you get from reviews.

Same as the early access crowd and likley the same guys. Their buy-before- they-think strategy helps us work out if we should buy or not.

Let's thank them for their service to gaming. ;)

Yeah when it comes to peripheral hardware i definately like others to take them through the paces first, last thing you would want on a controller for example is some kind of stick drift after a few uses.

Much like poor writing, a terrible soundtrack or horrible voice acting nothing can take you out of a game faster than control issues.

Yeah, idk what the big deal is with this. It's like the Tesla of game controllers. I have an old XB controller I only dust off when I launch a game and see "Plays best with a controller" meaning we couldn't be bothered to properly map out our game for KB+mouse. Even then it's the last resort for me.

It it sure creates a great buzz when you don't produce enough of a product to ensure it sells out really quickly.
