well, i'd have to say, Lotr........... Altough turbine has disappointed players twice now, i think, for wat i have seen, the game is very nice..... i mean, its still in alpha, and already there are many good things such as capable servers...........
Another good thign about it, is its lore.......
Unlike most of games that coem out with all, lotr, will lanch with only eriador and another land............ this is excellent, caus eu wont have huge plains to serach for no reason at all...... new lands will appear, as players literally unveil middle earth and travel thru it.
What do u prefer: a start will kilometers of useless plains, or a smaller map, that slowly unveils as u quest for adventure.... this way we got both roleplaying and fun......
no way, the next big thing will be age of conan i think, it looks ama=zing but not out yet it has real system melee(this means only when u click your charecter will swing his sword and only once, if u clikc twice he swings twice,faster u click the more you swing) so it also has skill there will probally be a block too

I wish that archlord would be the biggest thing cause of the amazing graphics but i hate the idea of the "One person gets the archlord" for like a day or so..... I need to be able to go for something...not just trade off being the best... like goin for tier 2 armor or becoming grand marshall(WoW) I may be wrong about the archlord so tell me if i am.

combat is controlled by 6 keys on the numpad not clicking the mouse.
While I intend to play AoC myself and think it will be a great success, I don't think it or any other games coming out soon will rival WoW in terms of raw subscription base. This is the age of the niche games, WoW has the throne for appealing to as many as they can, which ironically enough drives me off.

I'm keeping an aye on WAR. It looks promising.. And i love the Warhammer universe. I quess it willl be kind of big, but I don't know about takeing over for WoW. Personally I think WoW is boring, have been playing it for 1 and 12 year() and is pretty tired of it, and I don't think I'm alone. So there is hope.
Good god. E&B was the very first Mmorpg I ever played. I would love to see this game come out.

Right now i think we're seeing a real influx of bad games for this market, and people are either looking for other genres or become increasingly loyal to one game (WoW for example). In order for a game to be truly great its going to need to fix all the things that WoW has wrong with it, and then be able to out-market Blizzard, which is quite the challenge. right now I don't see any games that can really compete with WoW, and no companies that may be able to handle competing with Blizzard. 9Dragons looks good if you ask me, and I have high expectations for Lord of the Rings.

LoTR might be BIG because of the name itself and just the name, but its not a woW killer.
Frankly I dont see any of the upcoming games being able to take a big chunk of the WoW market pie.
You can't be the next big thing if you are not a WoW killer btw, it basically controls the mmorpg market right now. It's the most recognisable game and name in the western game world.
Maybe 2008.

The 1 thing I realy liked about WoW that must be in the game I play next is a large seamless world. I dumped EQ2 after 1 month becasue of the endless loading zones. WoW was a fun game to explore.

Vanguard SOH all the way. I don't believe it will be released on XBOX 360 though. It is purely PC only at this point in the development.
