Yeah it also garners a lot of attention from the aimbot/wallhack crowd because it's FTP so zero risk in cheating. What are you going to do ban them? New Gmail account, new IP address from their proxy and they're back in the next match. Good times. I predict a total shit show of cheating much like the other games in their stable.

I played World of Tanks for several years and rarely ran into any obvious cheaters although there were definitely some. I last really played maybe 2021 /2022 so maybe its changed since then.

With these *free* games (assuming you haven't bought historical tanks in the $$ store or other decals etc of which i certainly spent hundreds) it of course is very easy to create a new account if you get banned and monetarily you lose nothing.

World of Tanks however is a ridiculous grind, grinding out the tanks in the tree from T1-T10, grinding up crew levels for the tanks, grinding out silver. They do this partially to give something to be always working towards but mainly to funnel people into spending real life cash on premium subscriptions / increased exp / increased silver.

With all the boosts / premium purchased you could probably unlock 1 tank series from T1-T10 in 250-500 battles if you know what your doing. Without spending the money on boosts would take even longer. But if you spend the money, cheat and get banned you are losing the money and starting the cycle over besides. i think the crazy grind helps at least a little keeping the cheater levels down although some folks have more time than sense.

Not sure what the grind is like in steel hunters but hopefully its steep enough to curb the cheaters at least a little bit. If you can unlock all the Mech hunters in a few hours of playtime i cant see that helping as a deterrent.

Have watched a few videos so far and probably going to give it a shot in a 2 man team, but if its bad will just uninstall with only a few play sessions lost.
