Cyberpunk 2077 2.02 patch is pretty significant

This is more of a PSA than anything, but I was playing through the Phantom Liberty DLC, and while the DLC is really good the RED engine was the same old RED engine, namely: crashy.  I would, multiple times per night, crash to desktop or have the game freeze my computer to the point I had to reboot.  This seemed to have something to do with how the game was saving because every time I'd crash it would be either looting something or the game trying to checkpoint.  It would even do it on occasion when I tried to quick save.  Every time it froze my machine it'd have the little disk icon up in the frozen image left on the screen.

Anyway, as of 2.02 I haven't experienced a single crash.  Not a one, which is pretty huge considering before it would crash at least once per hour if not more.

I figured I'd put this out there in case anyone gave up on the DLC or the game in general due to the frequent crashes.  Might be time to poke your nose back in.

That’s a really valuable PSA! Stability issues in games can be incredibly frustrating, especially when crashes happen at critical moments like saving or looting. It’s great to hear that the 2.02 update significantly improved the experience and eliminated those frequent crashes. This kind of update can make a huge difference in player confidence, especially for those who may have dropped the njmvc com game due to technical frustrations. Hopefully, this encourages more people to dive back into Phantom Liberty and enjoy it without the headaches of constant reboots!
