I can never understand why people think Everquest II looks ugly. I think it is a beautiful game. It has so much to do and what fun I had with my mercenary. Unfortunately the population is very small and even smaller than the one playing Everquest I believe it or not.

They've been doing it for years with both EQ1 and 2...I have no idea how people keep falling for it over and over...and I agree way too many stats and way too much clutter in UI in this game.

I gave EQ2 a legit chance, with a premium membership and I lasted about 2 weeks. The graphics are ugly and glitchy, I fought the UI constantly even with a mod, and I hated that I had no idea where to go and being under geared. I asked for help, then someone pointed out what to look up in the Wiki. So there is no direction in the game. You need the Wiki to know what to do and where to go. Combat was slow and boring. So EQ2 was not for me. Great community though; and unfortunately that was the only plus.

Sorry I think it's ugly. Years ago when Lineage 2 was down for a few days I made a sort of comic with my Lineage 2 dark elf finding himself in the Everquest 2 world talking to a dark elf and being horrified at how horrible everything was.

But very awesome that it tickles your aesthetic sensibilities.

I will agree that there was some fun to be had and I loved my dark elf shadow knight.
