Magic the Gathering is set to planeswalk to Middle-earth, as Wizards of the Coast gears up to join the Fellowship of the Ring this June. Today, WotC gave the first official preview of the cards in the upcoming set, including some fo the different versions and stylings of the cards themselves.

    This...this is really cool! I haven't played Magic since Ice Age (because I was terrible at it), but I may have to look into this.

    I want a mmorpg where people have gone through misery, have gone through school stuff and actually have had sex even. -sagil

    I mean it came out into beta a few years ago: Magic Legends. Then it shut down after merely 3-4 months due to apparently not 'succeeding enough'. The devs weren't even given hardly any warning about it either.

    Otherwise there's been absolutely nothing about a MTG MMO.
