They must have been reading our forums, Mendel called them out on not introducing themselves and now the "name and role script" (what do you call that?) is back. ;)

It is not a very casual-friendly game, unlike all the other theme parks that do keep a healthy active population.

The gameplay in overland level 60+ zones with the aggro range of mobs especially ranged mons, and the amount of damage they do makes it so that even the simplest quests send you into areas where you really have to work your ass off to survive solo.

On the one hand that is kind of a good and refreshing thing for a Western MMO but it is also a turn-off for the lower-skill, more casual players who are used to games like WOW, ESO, FFXIV, etc. that have much easier overland, solo, quest content,

Those other MMOs have a formula that seems to work where they keep a good portion of the game very easy and have segregated (typically instanced) harder content on demand.

New World is not like that and as long as they keep the overland difficulty for end-game zones the way it currently is, they will retain some who like it this way but they will lose a far bigger crowd than the other Western MMOs do when they reach level 60 and get tired of always having to work hard in trivial content.

Casuals who want things easier are the lifeblood of MMOs. You need to cater to them if you ever want to have a large population and keep it.

It's probably the most casual friendly MMO on the market, by a long shot.

There's nothing hardcore about New World. It's easy to hit 625 GS, there are caps on the amount of mutations per week.

Overland zones, mobs die in a few hits... not sure why aggro range matters here? There's nothing difficult at all about questing in New World. Very odd complaint to have.

You must be extremely casual with bad gear or something to be having trouble with things in New World... this game is brain dead, spam left click easy, 99% of the time.

Do you even play this game? Have you even quested in the Western part of Brimstone Sands or near the pyramid fighting two or 3 normal melee mobs and having 4 or 5 archers aggro from 1/2 a mile away and start hitting you with their obviously overturned damage?

"Not sure why aggro range matters here"... that has to be one the more clueless statements I've ever read about NW.
