When I saw from "80s horror movie-inspiration" my immediate concern was "what about the lore"? I know that even MMOs which are the best at lore like Lotro make some concessions for the likes of Xmas but to me it always feels slightly out of place.

So happy to say from what I have seen nothing about their Halloween event seems out of place, no slasher serial killers etc, it all seems to fit.

Same. But then I go and shame myself by chasing the cosmetic skins in those events :)

No pumpkin headed monsters running all over either. Apparently they forgot to put in half of what they say they designed.
Well pumpkin "monsters" came from Ireland's legendary Stingy Jack and his turnip, so that would be a hard lore call if they were in.

Rather depends on the skin, we had a "father xmas" outfit in Lotro but I think it was crafted, really can't remember. As we had a Xmas do many went along as santa. But for general questing, anything else really there is no way I would wear something lore breaking. They don't have to be lore breaking of course but they tend to be.
