Performancewise it made a huge improvement for me. Unfortunately the 64bit update caused serverlag for everyone but they reacted very fast, today there will be a server maintenance to fix this.

EQ2 has been getting some attention lately with people taking notice of Varsoon.

So far it's the most populated TLE but still i wish it would get even more attention. If only someone like TheLazyPeon or JoshStrife could make a video about it. I remember when Peon did a video for Return of Reckoning and the player numbers skyrocketed

EQ2 got a lot of undeserved stick in my opinion, its a good MMO, just not what EQ1 players wanted.

I hope the server maintenance actually does fix the issue.  For kicks, I fired up a low level character yesterday.  There were massive issues with just running around an empty zone.  I'm glad you saw improvement with the 64bit improvement, I didn't.  Performance really needs improvement; I hope they fix this soon.

Logic, my dear, merely enables one to be wrong with great authority.
