Over the past few weeks, Robin has had the opportunity to play through the End of Dragons expansion of Guild Wars 2 ahead of launch. How does it stack up so far? We tell you in our review in progress.

What I'd like to know, personally:
1. Aside from the sotry, is the gameplay loop kept +/- the same (for example - cycle through scripted events and collect currency to unlock shinies) or did they actually manage to make it more engaging this time?
2. I know You want to avoid spoilers, but does the story indicate about what's coming next for the title?
3. What are your feelings now, going back to the gameplay features - is there more sauce to it other than what has been shown? In terms of visualas, mechanics or QoLs - is the amount of added/changed content comparable to any previous expansion?
Thanks for the final review in advance
Wish they hadn't taken advantage of the release to simultaneously nerf the shit out of everyone.
I'm not an IT Specialist, Game Developer, or Clairvoyant in real life, but like others on here, I play one on the internet.
What about gear? Did they nerf any of that, or is Zerk still king/meta?
The only gear nerf was Torment runes. Which pissed a lot of people off because they were expensive runes, halved in effectiveness with no warning.
Basically, solo players and low-skill players were the victims here. Anyone relying on on-hit sustain to survive just got hurt for no good reason.
Well.. I have got to hand it to them, when they shoot themselves in the foot, they take the balls with them.
And there is no reason for it. It was explicitly targeted at PvE. Why do people in PvE need nerfs?
(You can take some satisfaction from raiders ALSO taking their fair share of nerfs though, since they also made the baffling change of reverting many buffs back to 5 target).
As such, IMHO, they can't screw up more than that, so I take no joy or satisfaction in them nerfing raiders, or anything they do with raids at all.
In fact, to be absolutely blunt about this, the only thing they could do regarding raids that would give me any satisfaction at all at this point, is remove them.
Everything else they do with them, is trifles to me.
