Torchlight Infinite has a lot going for it. After seemingly disregarding Torchlight III entirely by creating a direct sequel to the much beloved Torchlight II, developer XD intends to deliver on every point that made the franchise great to begin with. Check out this list of the good and the bad Torchlight Infinite has to offer from the mobile closed beta.

Yes it mostly is not as bad as in the beginning but still not really good if you have the Gamepass for PC you can take a look as far as i know its part of it.
yeah I see it on steam for 10 bucks now during their lunar sale so was wondering as well.
Hopefully they don't go around smashing everything with a nerf sledgehammer like Path of Exile has been doing the past year or two.
Also if I can't play it on one of the mobile emulators it will also be a hard pass. Don't enjoy gaming on phones at all. I have a desktop for a reason.
mmorpg junkie since 1999
But really, this might succeed because there are a lot of mobile gamers who have really low standards. I personally don't care about this game, but it would be nice if they don't make it Online-Only, that would be greedy and really suck.
It's not a Runic Games game! Not the same folks behind the IP.
In discussion on Steam, many claim issues in Singleplayer mode with pets disappearing, lost items and such. I have always stuck to Multiplayer, even when playing solo, and have not had these problems. So, it appears to have issues but they can be avoided.
Other than that it's fine, but not the enhanced TL2 people were apparently hoping for. If you're receptive to the new ideas implemented and can deal with some of the old ones left behind you can get some enjoyment from it.
If not stay with the TL you have, or play something else.

'But there are many. You can play them entirely solo, and even offline. Also, you are wrong by default.'
Ikcin in response to yours sincerely debating whether or not single-player offline MMOs exist...
'This does not apply just to ED but SC or any other game. What they will get is Rebirth/X4, likely prettier but equally underwhelming and pointless.
It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.
It is just huge resource waste....'
Gdemami absolutely not being an armchair developer

A lot of the levels are just rehashed maps and the enemies change when difficulty levels increase, but the gear drops are good and I like the class options.
Keep in mind though, I play mobile games a lot these days. It's one of the better arpgs I've tried. You probably have to like torchlight to enjoy it in the first place though, and leveling is really quick, so I think maybe they've amped it up for testing. Plus the cash shop is mostly cosmetic but has a gacha roll system for boons that can feel a little pay to win, but nothing super crazy.
I dont know how it compares to Diablo immortal but I've been impressed.
That's a good idea, provided one keeps in mind the game changes up a fair bit once the end game dungeon is opened up which each character must do separately. To fully experience what the game offers would require doing so on at least one character.
