AAA MMORPG lauched 4 days ago in 127 countries, Mir4

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1623660/MIR4/

I've been playing for 2 hours. Steam not needed. Install client and play. Looks great, great movement - double tripple jump. Reminds me of Black Desert of rip.

Game first, no advertisements, free to play if you like, or PLAY TO EARN.

LETS GO!

Another sh***y p2w mobile game with bad reviews; only with the addition of BC.

Is it really AAA? I know they keep advertising it as such but it just looks like an exact copy of the mobile game. Almost all steam reviews are negative, saying it is auto play, pay to win, and pretty bad overall.

Nice try, but AAA? Just no.

Besides, call it what it is, a crypto currency game, not a tough transition from a gache mobile title ported to the PC to take advantage of a new monetization model.

Here's the convoluted conversation scheme around Draco coins, mining rates etc, PT Barnum would have been proud.

So basically you're here to hype crypto and block chain?
Think I've come up with a new term for such behavior, "crypto shilling."

Don't know much about this one but from what I can tell, you earn Darksteel in the game, and darksteel is converted to a fixed currency called Draco with 1 billion total available.

Apparently when you smelt Darksteel into a draco, it costs 1000 darksteel to accomplish.

Currently a draco is worth less than 3 dollars.

Hmm. There are supposed to be nfts also but they aren't available yet and I don't know what they're supposed to actually do.

Otherwise the game itself seems pretty bad.  Free for all loot is a feature? You kill something and you may not even get rewarded for it? Hmm.

I wish them luck.  I want a great play to earn game but why do they make such poor design decisions?

    Soon to which part?

I think their saving grace is that it launched on mobile. If I get real bored I might try it. I'll say one more thing, they aren't selling it as a blockchain game. I had to dig a little just to figure out what it was about. That's at least kind.of reassuring.

You guys couldn't tell after the last shill thread where he claimed wasting the equivalent of a couple hundred dollars on a few short virtual horse races was one of the most complex and deep gaming experiences he'd ever had?
I'm a numbers guy. I like stats in my stats.

As for Zed Run the horse racing game. It's expensive. It's elitest. It's time consuming. It's also growing exponitialy.

Stats in side of stats inside of mysteries.

Sooo there is a problem with mining ore and turning it into cash? Don't mine then?

I get trying to highlight successes in the crypto/blockchain gaming space, but not sure a game with 65% negative reviews (as of this writing) is the poster child to hold up.

Otherwise, seems like a lot of spin bordering on clickbait:
    • What are we considering 'fast'? Was this developed unusually quickly? That'd seem a bit more of a red flag to me, but that's just subjective.
    • I've not heard of the developer and this is the only game they have on Steam. That in mind, what makes this 'AAA'?

On the plus side; it is released and you can see the game without having to dig at least. Honestly, I had to dig around more to find references to blockchain (on their Steam page) and only saw that referenced in a review. Also did not see a barrier to entry (no buy in to start 'playing') unless I just overlooked it.

Got it. That really just comes off as cherry picking the positives while ignoring legitimate questions and possible criticisms. Not an overly compelling approach, but you do you I suppose...

LMAO, nah, I wouldn't touch a Crapto(tm) Currency game with someone else's 10-foot barge pole.  I can see how the clueless rubes would, of course.

It also has unusually harsh Steam reviews at only 35% positive.  For full audio to be listed as Korean-only doesn't exactly scream "great localization".

The audio doesn't really matter that much. Even New World is going full audio for one language only, and then supporting 7 additional languages through subtitles.

But the 35% positive reviews means it's really shit game.
