Kingdom of Elyria "Early" Alpha starts on July 7th

Yep, its here, KOE early Alpha is to start next week on July 7th according to this post today on their forums.

"Today’s a pretty big deal for the team, as we’re pleased to confirm that we’ll be releasing the first Alpha test next Tuesday, July 6th, continuing through the completion of Milestone 0.2.0! Once Milestone 0.2.0 is completed, we will extend the testing duration by a further two weeks for those who have been unable to join. After that, sign-ins will be disabled until the start of our second Alpha test."

Just to be clear here...

• On Feb 25 he said it should take around 2 months to complete his milestones 1 and 2.

• Now he is starting an "Early Alpha" not to be confused with the  "Pre-Alpha" he started on CoE 2 years ago, and this "Early Alpha" will start in July.

• This "Early Alpha" will not include most of the contents of milestones 1 and 2 despite already being over 200% of the time he said it would take.

• This "Pre Alpha" will last until he actually finishes milestones 1 and 2. Remember, this was supposed to take around 60 days. When the "Pre-Alpha" starts it will have been over 130 days.  

• So when he finishes his "Pre Alpha" he will literally be where he said he would be in April.

Is anyone taking bets on how many more months this goes?  Remember- His initial statement was 60ish days.   Lets see who comes closest to how many it actually takes.  

My bet is 240 days.  That would make him only have taken 400% of his estimate.  Seems like that might be light, but honestly looking at what is in Milestone 1 and 2 its such basic stuff I am fully confident that he can at least spend $100 in the Unity store and buy the functionality if he can't get there himself.  Oh I am sorry, if his "team" can't get there.

When someone leaks this stuff to Kira it is going to be Epic with a capital E.

I can't comment on the 240 days, not followed it that closely, but who wants to take the bet that July 6/7 will get pushed back a month? He still has 5 days to do that.
