Kira reveals Caspien sneaking into private Discord, hiring PR team and Kira forces Reddit mod 2 quit

What a video.

He release screenshots from private Discords where apparently Caspien has been having hidden chats with special community members.  Some highlights:

1. Caspien has hired a PR team to help him with answering email and other communication.   This on a tiny team with 5 members (counting a composer) most of who likely are just contract people.  Why would he spend money on a PR team?  This is a slap in the face to everyone, including the US taxpayer that loaned him massive amounts of money with his Coronavirus loan.

2. He still has his forums and comments on all posts and videos shut down, yet he is sneaking off to have conversations in private Discords about the game's development?  WTF?

3. The Reddit mod was revealed as so over the top that even Caspien said his vision of total bans on any negative discussion were too much. So the mod quit.

4. People actually asked if they could give Caspien money.

5. he pokes fun as Chris Roberts and Star Citizen by inferring they haven't really produced a "game"

Much more.   

His last few videos were utterly boring but this one is a homerun.

Know what this reminds me of....Eve online.
I still remember the early days of Eve ,a game that almost never launched and imo was not nearly good enough to launch but the studio had no money so you get what you get.
Well millions of dollars later i feel Eve is still at best a 2/10 game,that is all i would give it as a very shallow severely lacking game design.

My point is this type of real bad low budget gaming has been going on a VERY long time it is just that studios realized a nice way to scam gamers by calling their garbage games >>Early access.

Another difference from THEN and NOW is that now gamers are more knowledgable about what is going on and more content creators are opening the eyes of all the whales who bought into all these really bad games.
Kira kind of touched on SC as being way more of a game than COE ever will,is that really a comparison that justifies the gross budget of SC?I mean if we compare results versus budget,SC is no better than COE.
If i spent 300 million on a studio to make me a game and all they had to show me was SC,i would be outraged.

Well the private discord chats aren't really news, they were revealed on Reddit last week by Malvourn and some other guy who shared the conversation.

Didn't know a mod quit there, which one by the way?

The LegendaryToxic guy.  Screenshots make it look like he thought he was about to be rewarded for all his faith.  He told Caspien his master plan was to lock down the reddit and do mass bans of critics.  He offered to work with Caspien's new PR team to reform it. 2 of the other reddit super-fans chimed in with agreement.

Even Caspien seemed shocked and was like(paraphrased)..  Uhh.. no guys that would be a disaster.  Let people talk on the reddit.

Then a few hours after Kira posted the video and leaked the screenshots the mod quit.

This should tell you all you need to know about the level of zealotry this "moderator" had:

 "in light of Caspian's statements that he's fine with there being a place where people can freely share their opinions, and that he probably won't be coming here any time soon, there's really no reason for me to continue as a moderator."

Meh, he just isn't a very good mind reader is all.  Jeremy's previous and current actions regarding moderation never lead me to believe he's now all for free speech and honest discourse.

My view is Jeremy views the reddit and those who visit it as a lost cause with limited opportunity for future income from most who visit there.

Better to give them their own "well of dispair" to stew in, probably keep them from posting all over other social media outlets which Jeremy's always favored over forums.

The moderators isn't the monster people are painting him out to be and people will find out Ashen Moon will be far more "intense" with no one to keep her in check 

Heck, recall that prior to the announcement of KOE the mods had actually shut the reddit down for about 6 months and I won't be surprised if it happens again now as there actually are sub's set up specific to KOE, one own and moderated by Malvourn...fun.
