    TLDR : 5 myths

    PvP game
Is fully funded (a myth started by the content creator himself)
Investors are in charge of design (no evidence either way)
    Game is group only
Pantheon is EQ with better graphics

I think this entire video is just a rebuttal to @wizardry posts on any game in the past decade.
See, that was much better, thanks so much for sharing.

I already don't believe any of those myths so 18 minutes of my life saved from being wasted.

I'd be much more likely to watch the video if I knew ahead of time which specific 5 myths he's debunking.

    Here, I'll get you started:

    1
    2
    3
    4
    5

    :)
If you goto the video info, its common for youtubers to put a timeline in the information. You can use them to jump to the info you want or skip ahead when you dont care. Look for what I posted below, then go look for that in the "SHOW MORE" under the video.

    0:00 - Intro
    1:43 - Myth #5
    4:22 - Myth #4
    6:55 - Myth #3
    9:43 - Myth #2
    11:19 - Myth #1
    17:47 - Outro
Wow. He actually calls them myth 5, myth 4, etc, without actually naming them... lol. It's all so very mysterious "watch my video to find out!" Can you say clickbait?
You can click each time stamp and the myths are listed in the video. Takes 15 seconds to see them

Yes. I'm familiar with the mechanics of clicking links.

The point I and others are making though is that this is a forum for exchanging information through communication. As such it would be informative when posting a video that debunks 5 myths to explicitly state which 5 myths are being debunked. That's informative communication.

If you don't do that when you link or when the streamer himself doesn't specify which 5 myths he's talking about and just lists them as "myth 1" etc., that is no longer communication. That is a deliberate withholding of relevant information, commonly called "a teaser," in order to get you to watch the video whether it has timestamp links or not.

Hopefully that's more clear to you now.

You do get giving away all the information does nothing to cover his work? Putting time stamps takes away from his add revenue. Listing all the information means he get zilch for his hard work. Get over it. Watch the video or dont. Baz has been more then fair. Hope that clears it up for you.

I get it now. You're Baz fans promoting his videos and revenues. No shits are given about using this forum to inform other posters. Just a plain old video promotion for clicks. Didn't there use to be rules against that around here?

You've just admitted to advertising Baz's channel, the product, by not "giving away the information" but linking to his video.

Work?  I thought he did this for the love of Pantheon.  I don't doubt that many of the members here put more thought (and effort) behind their posts, and somehow don't ask for money.  Sorry, I can't afford to pay to hear some guy's opinions.

He is informing people. He worked hard collecting post and interviews that back up what he is telling about Pantheon. You have no clue how many hours of work he did. You dont like the forum or youtube videos. Great dont use them. Go look up the information, spend hours doing it. Or if you really dont care about the information, move on. But respect the hard work Baz is doing to help people know fact from rumor. Im a fan of anyone who promotes truth. Even when he himself had to point out when he was wrong.

He is informing people. He worked hard collecting post and interviews that back up what he is telling about Pantheon. You have no clue how many hours of work he did. You dont like the forum or youtube videos. Great dont use them. Go look up the information, spend hours doing it. Or if you really dont care about the information, move on. But respect the hard work Baz is doing to help people know fact from rumor. Im a fan of anyone who promotes truth. Even when he himself had to point out when he was wrong.

People getting upset there is a vdeio and not a wall of text telling the same information drives me nuts. Not everyone learns from walls of text. There are many ways to learn and you dont have to like how others learn.
You are the one making a big deal out of not even providing the basic info as in which 5 myths.

You are in fact just advertising his channel.

I didn't post the video and neither did Baz.

Isn't advertising against the terms of service for MMORPG.com?

Then you better start banning all YouTube videos on this site. Ya that will help mmorpg.com. And the forum members who share them.

That actually wouldn't bother me as I rarely click on links in these forums and never without some sort of text based preamble on why I should.

Besides, gives me a great opportunity to slag on...err, add insight of my own on a topic of my choice, win win.

A link with a synopsis or additional comment would work.  It's not strictly a reference link, the member adds some material other than just a link.

I'd rather see a forum member's opinion rather than the opinion off a random video ad.

(And if it is so much work to compile and organize information about a project, then hasn't that project failed fundamentally with their communications?)

then they should remove all ads from the site :)

I think direct advertising is not allowed - but indirect advertising such as sharing a video on youtube about video game stuff is ok
Typically it's fine because whoever posts the link or embeds the video also posts relevant info about what they linked or embedded.

In this particular case they didn't. They just provided a teaser and then when called on how uninformative that post was without providing even the basic info abut which 5 myths, Nan, even though he wasn't the OP, defended not providing the info on the basis that the streamer did a lot of hard work and needs clicks and revenues.

Without his "clarification" about why it's good to not give any info about the stream you're linking, the OP is just a poor and uninformative post with a link to a video. Nan's reasons for deliberately withholding info took it to a different level. A level that is awfully close to advertising a streamer or his channel.

Now if you were posting videos by Andy from Reverb doing music demos it could be 3 hours long and I'd click on it. That dude could play amps and pedals made of dirt and I'd buy them.

I do love me a wah wah pedal :) I still have one gathering dust somewhere from back in the days when I still had an electric guitar.

He could research information for a million hours and it wouldn't mean anything cause only the devs themselves know the true state of the game and 'if' it'll ever be released. The information the public receives is to suit these devs personal needs and pay their bills by any means necessary. For example... who was the recent investor for the game? what was the amount invested & what were the terms? All things we'll never know cause them taking our money does not require them to give us any information at all. When you've been taking people's money for 5 years and provide nothing in return you'd think simple information like that could be revealed but they are too deep now in thievery to care about us.

The only thing that really matters is if the game will be released. Any other information released by them is just put out there to keep everyone guessing/fooled. Also, where's Brasse?

Asking the tough questions. I like it.
And you'll get a copy pasted response which Kislin recommended to one of Pantheon's moderators who asked for guidance on how to handle financial questions.

In short, he said we've never shared such, we never will, and the haters have no way to prove anything.

Except of course, vaguely worded positive info about new funding only when it's to their benefit.

Yes, but twenty minutes wasted talking about it on here. :)

I was amused by the idea of myths in a game that has not launched, to me developing games are myths until they launch as you actually have little idea of what you are going to get until then.
