Bloodlines 2 - More delays and a new studio

Well, apparently things weren't going well ...


It seems removing the lead narrative designer and creative director wasn't the only fix needed.

Maybe Paradox is a bit paranoid about making a hit or maybe there are very real issue.

What a shame for the project to end up here after all the initial "Vampire Party Stuff."

    Paradox interactive produced their q4 numbers, announced the cancellation of an unannounced project plus the aforementioned change with bloodlines 2. Following the meeting stock has dropped by 20%.

    It should be mentioned that the stock price is still higher than it was the same time a year ago due to gaming stocks in sweden has increased a lot since covid-19 started to spread.
    The cynic knows the price of everything and the value of nothing.

    It's just a bit concerning as clearly the developers for this sequel did something so wrong that they were pulled off the project. And as far as I know, no new developer has been announced.

    How bad could it have been?  :/

    Maybe it wasn't bad at all. It's just as conceivable that this was a Bioware situation and Paradox wanted the studio to shove in egregious microtransactions and GaaS elements that the original creative and story lead wouldn't be okay with.

    Paradox isn't exactly a paragon of consumer friendliness.
