I am going to buy the xbox series x when it comes out hopefully I can get a preorder. Since it comes out before cyberpunk do you think it will run better then on the xbox one x? I like the idea of not having to play it on the one at all even if it is not the version built for the series x.

Raytracing would not even remotely be a concern in a game like Cyberpunk.Cutscenes and running errands, there is no need for fancy lighting in a game like that.
It will be funny to see the actual framerates of these consoles after they claimed 60+ and supposed better consoles than the regular PC's.
IMO you are wasting your money buying these new consoles, you will barely see a game worthy of the new machines, better off to wait when the prices come down.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
Will it be able to do 120hz maybe, that generally does better with a faster cpu and the xbox series x has a low end ryzen cpu.
The real question is do you have a big enough 4k tv? If you sit 10 feet away from a 55 inch 4k tv, then no you would not see the differnce between the 4k 60hz xbox series x or the 1080 60hz xbox one x. Now 120hz is a difference story , you can see that at all distances.
I have a 4k oled cx 55inch, it can do 4k 120hz, but at the distance I sit, its impossible to see 4k, and no im not blind, I have 20 20 vision. In order to see 4k over 1080 at 10 feet you would need a 85 inch tv, which still wouldn't be big enough to fully see the difference, in order to tell 4k from 1080 at 10 feet couch distance assuming now they are the same tvs, of course if you are comparing a 10 year old tv to a new one it will look better, but it would have to be like 90 inches.
I usually run it at 1440 120hz, but even 1440 at 10 feet 55inch it is to small. I didn't actually realize it, till I bought a s7 plus tablet and streamed 1440 120hz to it. Which 12inches at 1 foot you can see 1440. There were little details in games I couldn't see.
So unless you are rocking a 85 plus inch tv, or sitting within 3 feet then nope 0 differnce between them. Thats assuming they continue to release games for the xbox one x though.
A general guide is, if you hook a pc up to your TV and you have it at 100 percent ui zoom in the windows settings and you can't read the text you won't see the doffernce between 1080 and 4k.
