Talking about Necros now.  Guards will attack you if they see you casting because Necromancy is illegal.:neutral:

Sounds like Guild Wars 1 with a lot of micro management needed to keep them alive.  You will be able to resurrect anything that's dead, or so they say.

Redesigned Guild Trader with more search features.

They also talked about changes to PvP.  Players can summon a beast strong enough to challenge an emperor.  New dungeon and trials...  Some updates may go to PTS as early as a week from now.

I did not get to see it all but what I did see was looking positive.

Necro sounds interesting but will wait and see on that one as it is the thing I am least excited about right now.

So they get visibility? I hope Necro is OP.

How can you do quests in town if guards attack you for using necro skills?  This will be interesting.

Someone asked this question during the post show and they said they will have to work that out.

So you get Morrowind and Summerset with DLC.  Glad I waited on Summerset.

    Free character slot for Necro.

They are also adding a new guide to help players do everything in a zone without having to go into achievements to see what they missed.

Each account will probably get one race change token. No class change tokens.

    No increase in CP level.

    Five year anniversary coming up.

    New tutorial area.

Yep, but I'm not really into housing except when I can use the ones in the taverns as a port.

One simple idea would be to get rid of the immortal guards and let you have a hope of killing one.

"You have kept me at your beck and call for fifteen years. I shall never again do what you demand of me. By every rule of single combat, from this moment your life belongs to me. Is that not correct? Then I shall simply declare you dead. In all of your dealings with me, you'll do me the courtesy to conduct yourself as a dead man. I have submitted to your notions of honor long enough. You will now submit to mine."

    They already took my money!

In all seriousness, I am very excited. Some major QoL improvements, a year long story, a new class that looks very different, among other things. I can't wait.

I hope for those interested in this exp that the focus of this one is more on fun than grind, like the last one.

Agree. Summerset was nice to look at, and there were a few good questlines, but Morrowind was overall the better expansion.

Nope, it sounds like they can't change it either.

That's one reason I haven't picked up Summerset yet. I already have several magic skill lines and adding more on such a limited skill bar wouldn't make things any better.

The Psijic skill line has one active skill (Elemental Weapon/Crushing Weapon) in it that has been a game changer for a lot of builds that struggled to find a suitable ranged spammable with good damage.

Before Summerset about the only bow/bow build I could stomach was the Warden because it's one of the few classes that has a long range stamina-based spammable (Cutting Dive.) The Psijiic skill line made bow/bow viable with any class.

Thanks, that's good to know.  I love using a bow but ended up mostly using Nightblade and Vamp drains which are awesome, Warden is the other class I play a lot.  May have to reconsider...

That sucks. If that was changed, and a few other things like add in some open world contested zones, faction vs faction fighting (besides cyrodil) I would be 100% on board and make ESO my home. I just cant get past the animation cancelling. It ruins the immersion of combat for me.

The problem with Vamp and NB ranged drains is that they're magicka skills. Magicka builds have never lacked for long ranged spammable abilities from their class. vamp or the destro staff. You can use those in a bow build but you're hybridizing yourself for much lower damage if you do.

Stamina based ranged spammables are what was always lacking, except for the Warden as I said above, and the bow wasn't much help since their abilities are DOTs with damage that's too low up front to be spammable, a damage + CC ability with low damage or Snipe with its cast time.

Like I said, Crushing Weapon solved that problem and you can spam it and then light attack, rinse and repeat, for good damage (especially effective for those who don't have the animation cancelling phobia :)) just like the magicka builds always could.

Necromancer as a new class designed with intent, well, and balanced... on board.

Necromancer as just another skill line, in a game that has such harsh skill bar limits; bolted on to another class...  Not interested in the least.

Not sure why they add so many dungeons.  It's basically trash content.  Maybe if they did something similar to WoW's Mythic+ system it would be nice... but people just speed through them and you barely get to experience anything, anyways...

Seems like I missed the GW2 Path of Fire discount.  Might just buy that because it's basically ESO with better graphics/combat for a much cheaper price (cause buying all those DLC is like $200+ these days, or you have to subscribe which I won't do for a game I won't sink more than 5 hours a week into).
