Why do you play MMORPGs?

    I'd have to say everything on that list other than story and leveling. Most people don't pay any attention to the backstory in a MMORPG since it's only there for role playing purposes. Leveling is just a tedious chore in between equally tedious grinding sessions. Then again, I've been playing City of Heroes for the last three months so I'm a giant hypocrit. Mostly, I play in order to hang out and do team based PvP or co-op PvE. The biggest problem is finding a pick-up group in an MMORPG. It's not as easy as finding a pick-up game of Counter-Strike or Age of Mythology.
