It's nice to see gaming communities coming together like this and kudos to blizz and msi to showing some love for all this guy has done. Hope things go well for him and his mom.

I'm not an IT Specialist, Game Developer, or Clairvoyant in real life, but like others on here, I play one on the internet.

@leiloni you may have pulled the same false trigger @SBFord did.

No, I'm not. He implies that gamers are unhappy about the mod being discontinued because they don't want to have to work harder in game to learn the mechanics of boss fights.

But the truth is that people were upset because a real person is in trouble and needs their help. He's saying people are "lazy gamers" because they supposedly need this mod so bad. The reality is none of this has anything to do with the mod.

And the additional point I made is this - if anyone truly were so lazy that they were upset at the potential of DBM shutting down, the reality is someone else would step up to continue developing it. So again in this story, DBM's purpose or existence isn't really relevant.

i don't think people are upset because DBM could have shutdown. Pretty much every DBM user is aware of Big Wigs' existence. An addon that does the same as DBM and it's also very popular. And from what i've heard is more customizable than DBM. If one shuts down, they'll move to the other one.

Just my thoughts. I have Big Wigs installed but since i'm not a raider it's just sitting there in case i need it.

But good to hear DBM dev is getting help.
