Busy week in level design

Hey everyone,

We have had a fun and busy week working on Zy Universe. We brought in a new level designer to help create some of the huge zones for our map, while also with getting some of the finer mechanics tuned in a bit more. The team is trying to make a fun, unique and compelling game for everyone to enjoy. We are excited to show off what we have been working on this week.

The image below seems like a simple archway for aesthetics, but these actually are doorways for our "fade in" areas that we are developing. Being we are 2.5D we want to give as much depth as possible in our zones. This means creating unique ways to give you more then just the platform area you are brawling on.  The fade in area will contain additional lootable objects, and also encourage risk vs. reward encounters. These rooms will be scattered all over the zones on the map and players may never know if someone will be on the other side to challenge you for the contents within.
