Question regarding storyline

Ok from reading the offical forum and the game web site im slightly worried about the game play and storyline. Is it basicly going tobe that u start ur character in the shire then u travel to the elf plae and then to the mines etc etc(just like book?)

I know its based on the lord of the rings world but i dont wanna play the exact book out. If i did id buy one of the single player games out there atm.

I know ill end up getting alot of the Fan Boys giving me a hard time saying no one makes u play game etc.
But im allowed my views aswell as anyone else and its a simple question really will the game follow the book exactly as in quests etc or will it allow u todo quests for a knight captain of Gondor etc or just simply be goto mordor destroy the ring...
