Looks really promising, the living world features really interest me as I feel they strongly deepen immersion.

I thought Pathfinder went under a long time ago? Or is this a different one?

I was invited into the Alpha for this game. I created a bunch of videos on it if you want to check them out on my channel https://www.youtube.com/c/HitokiriKenpachiVaniverseGaming. It is really fun. it takes a little getting used to if you are unaware of the Pathfinder TRPG mechanics. I have stopped playing because I have pretty much maxed out the content that is completed in Alpha. Super fun game 90+ hours of playtime!

Very nice looking trailer.   Looks very professional.  I'll put this on my Steam wishlist.  I may end up waiting for a sale, but I want to check this out.

Having a crpg without multiplayer seems kinda crazy. I'll still get it but it seems a strange choice.. these days most games have multiplayer (even when it doesnt really make sense) and yet to have a conversion of a tabletop game without multiplayer... I dunno, seems really strange.

I was ecstatic when i found out there'd be a Pathfinder crpg.

Then I found out that they decided to have My.com publish.

Now every time i see news about the game. I develop a twitch in my eye.

Several friends and myself all had our debit card information taken when our accounts were hacked in one of several client breaches awhile ago (which i'm disappointed mmorpg.com didn't report on). I came back from a two week camping trip to find that my account was missing a large amount of money due to online purchases, before my bank froze the account. It's going to take me years to get my credit back up to where it was. And I couldn't pursue compensation from My.com. Because their terms of service for their client includes a liability waiver for any breach of information that might take place. They use outdated security certs and scripts for their client. And when user information is hacked, instead of taking the client down and replacing it with one more secure. They just point the victims to their liability waiver and keep collecting money.

I hate to say this but NEVER use your debit card for online purchases precisely because of this crap.

Use a credit card. Sorry, I realize that was probably a hard lesson to have.

I won't lie, I was hoping this would be an ARPG. That's okay, I love cRPGs almost as much and this looks interesting. I'll keep an eye on it at the very least.

    Game's looking good.

But I would repeat the "my.com" thing people are saying, for emphasis.
Due to frequent travel in my youth, English isn't something I consider my primary language (and thus I obtained quirky ways of writing).  German and French were always easier for me despite my family being U.S. citizens for over a century.  Spanish I learned as a requirement in school, Japanese and Korean I acquired for my youthful desire of anime and gaming (and also work now).  I only debate in English to help me work with it (and limit things).  In addition, I'm not smart enough to remain fluent in everything and typically need exposure to get in the groove of things again if I haven't heard it in a while.  If you understand Mandarin, I know a little, but it has actually been a challenge and could use some help.

Also, I thoroughly enjoy debates and have accounts on over a dozen sites for this.  If you wish to engage in such, please put effort in a post and provide sources -- I will then do the same with what I already wrote (if I didn't) as well as with my responses to your own.  Expanding my information on a subject makes my stance either change or strengthen the next time I speak of it or write a thesis.  Allow me to thank you sincerely for your time.

    Regarding multiplayer and my.com:

We'd love to have multiplayer in Kingmaker, but we're a small team working with a Kickstarter budget. There's only so much we can do. Feature creep kills Kickstarters. We're focusing on a large 80-100 hour campaign and rather than half-assing multiplayer with the resources we have, we decided to skip it for now. Sorry!

As for my.com - please bear in mind this isn't an MMO. There are no lootboxes, no premium subscriptions, you simply buy the game once and keep it forever. It'll be out on Steam and GoG, so you won't have to put up with DRM if you don't want to. The story contains all 4 books of the adventure path, there's a bonus chapter, you can play all the way to Pathfinder's level cap of 20 and nothing is cut out or removed or put behind a paywall.

Our pre-order store is hosted by my.com - if the thought of leaving your payment info there makes you feel uneasy, the final release version will also be available on Steam and GoG. Please don't write off our game solely based on your feelings towards the publisher. ♥

IDK it looks ok but it's a trailer.
Also so many games like this, your character is but a puny spec in the game and usually ruins the visuals.
Will have to see when it actually comes out, until then just a trailer.

My only question: Will Magus be in the game with Bladebound Kensai as an option.
