    "JewelCrafting"

Is this gonna be DLC owners ability only?

In case anyone was wondering, yes, pre-purchase of Summerset full or upgrade includes Morrowind as a bonus which you get immediately after pre-purchase (and no, if you already have Morrowind you don't get a second copy of it.)

I want to love this. I think I just need to keep repeating "I will return and love the combat.... I will return and love the combat". I hope that works.

Even with the lag problems in PvP and the bots this game is just fun to play. You can try and walk away, but it will pull you right back in. Just keeps getting better.

On the bot thing, they are trying to get them out. Yet, like all online games it's an endless problem.

    Agreed.

Unlike many ES players, I've always liked the High Elves and this is the first time Summerset has been in any of the games since Arena back in '94.

BTW... the prelude quest is already available in the game right now.

Unfortunately I am not excited :-(
Wish the world and graphics would be like in the first video, but that's BDO style not ESO.
The second, video from real game, looks unimpressive - same old, just few new things here and there, but the rest is the same.
(even queen cannot find new dress in her wardrobe)
I bet it will be again all about daedra and more evil daedra - I even could not bring myself to buy Morrowind or go through Clockwork City quest line anymore.

Haven't played this game in some time and it was always the combat that stopped me from playing. Maybe a combat revamp is in the list of unannounced features of the new chapter but I highly doubt it.

This game launch was so bad, i remember how dead it was 2 months after release. Now is probably the biggest MMO on the market, what a comeback.

I was playing ESO as a subscriber till earlier this month. It just doesn't offer enough, imo, for the subscription cost. I don't care for PvP nor raid much so I know I don't utilize all of the content ESO offers but for the story line & up till max level it is fun. It is grinding for those damn Champion Points that kills the fun for me being so slowly paced & so many now. Isn't it like 720? I'm sure Summerset will only add more too.

I may check this out as soon as I can actually see some ingame footage. Too bad the game graphics don't actually look like that cinematic.

I've seen this before and I'm not sure I understand it.

Why grind for Champion Points? If you just play the game you will eventually get them.

If you just do the content in the game you will get your champion points.  You don't have to grind at all unless you consider just doing the content, grinding.

    Exactly.

I actually don't have all that many by "old timer" standards because I play a lot of lower level alts that don't accumulate it. There are a lot of people who play regularly on just their main or a couple of >50 characters running around with 1000, 1500 or more.

I still have close to 750 now without ever grinding them.

The absolute max number is an exorbitant 3600. They're not really meant to be something you grind but min/maxers will do what they do no matter what.

The way that they work with diminishing returns and the limited number of passives that are actually useful for your particular build (e.g. reducing crit damage you take is exclusive to PVP since you take 0 crit damage in PVE, upping your magic damage penetration is totally useless for a stamina melee build, etc.) makes more CP beyond a certain point not all that useful anyway.

The first 300 ARE important because they increment your health, stamina and magika pools but they don't after the first 300.

With the system they use every time the cap goes up, those first 300 are actually faster to get than before because the whole XP leveling curve of any CP up to the cap gets adjusted down.

It was, briefly. When it was at the point of hundreds of bots camping delve bosses and teleporting around taking all the crafting nodes, the real player base went extremely low because of it. You couldn't tell, of course, because of the way the servers work.

That's what got them to finally fix the problem.. and they fixed it quickly when the penny dropped. It only got back to it's full stride when they dropped the subscription.
