Funny image: I thought it's a guy standing next to a wooden palisade.

I wonder if there was *a single* case of tortoise formation usage in medieval warfare? During field battles there was no need in this formation; during sieges machines would be more useful + less vulnerable to different forms of artillery; during riots soldiers wouldn't need the protection against unorganized mob.

    Thank you for your time!

Confused as to what the game even is, MMO or PvP Match-based game?

Okay I have been researching. And I am interested.

It can be one MMO'ish version of For Honor let's say, the beta gameplay shows to be polished up decently, performance doing okay, "open-world" of it is rather cool I think.

    Anyone to check:

Reminds me of a new-generation Dynasty Warriors with a medieval setting.

Sadly medieval no longer interests me,even less if it is just PVP which would completely put me to sleep.
if it was entirely PVE with perhaps some side venture/reason to pvp and yes i have several ideas that would be cool ,at least to me,then i would consider it.The problem is that to make a medieval game look plausible, there is basically nothing you can do with it,just armor up and whack away at each other. This is why i like the magic/Fantasy approach,it opens so many doors to depth of all systems.

Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

Very stoked for this game, maybe it'll make Mount & Blade 2 come out sooner?

1.) What country is the publisher / does this game come from

2.) What Anti Cheat if any?

Can't really seem to find any of this information on the game website itself.

The publisher around our areas seems to be Booming Games. Now that publisher is mainly known for being behind online casinos O.o

The developer is Chinese, NetEase, they do operate Blizzard games in China (such as WoW, Overwatch and so on). Their studios created Revolution Online one that we know better in the west.

Anti-cheating for a game like this I would assume is a must, to be seen if this will be in the beta or not.

Yeah same, missed out on the announcement then checked now and what's available of it seems interesting.

Wanting to see more of the sandbox aspects that they seem to be introducing over time.

Also finding bits of upcoming features to be added:

January 2018 - More news for upcoming beta

    1. The climate change in the battlefield is in sync with the world.
    2. Thousands of square kilometers world size.
    3. Players can contest on crops and mineral resources
    4. Players can build buildings and run their own guild base, empire.
    5. Gameplay of random encounters and spy missions.

It's hard to tell exactly but interesting if players building and owning guild base is for real, it seems it has some level of questing as well.

Seems they really interested in getting people in and testing... they have emailed me 4 times since the weekend to make sure ive activated my beta key and downloaded the client.

Here is a nice little snippet from the last email on what we can expect to be able to do:

"This test has a wide variety of activities for you to try:

-Kingdom War: Generals can occupy land and claim it for their House. In addition to earning many valuable resources, taking and occupying locations can also earn event prizes such as equipment, resources and rare Units.

-Kingdom Quest and Honor Quest: Daily events in which players can complete challenges to earn Coins, EXP, and Honor!

-PVE Events: Generals can team up to face strong NPC opponents in epic battles. Victory can earn you Coins, EXP, and Honor!

-Daily Sign-in: Log in every day and sign in to earn Gold, Rare Units, Hero Equipment, Powerful Weapons, and much more! Sign in 8 days in a row and reach a certain level to earn an achievement and title!"

And the test will be from Jan 26th to Feb 3rd.

I'm gonna download this and check it out.  Sounds Planetside-esque with the meta game, with some Dynasty Warriors combat and a medieval setting.  Color me intrigued.

I'm very glad to have heard PvE fights against NPCs are part of this test, PvE content mixed in is quite important otherwise it can fall prey of one repetition level that wears people away, just like it happened with KUF 2.
