Divinity: Original Sin 2 questions

Hey guys, couple of quick questions:

1) How does DOS2 compare to DOS? I played DOS but never really got into it. Would you say DOS2 is more engaging? How do the storyline and combat compare?

2) How much disk space does the game take up? I'm having a problem where deleting games is giving me less free space back than the games took up, so I'm running out of room on my SSD.

1) I haven't finished it yet, but the story line so far seems more interesting than DOS, the combat is a mixed bag. One the positive side, there is a lot of interesting abilities to use, but they made a strange change to the way cc works, which I don't really like. Overall still lots of fum though.
