So was reading up on all this shadow of war nonsense. Which made my heart sink that a great IP turned to the darkside of micro transactions, but noticed another story.

Which can be read here:

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2017-09-01-shadow-of-war-developer-who-died-of-cancer-immortalised-as-an-in-game-orc-slayer

Basically a Shadow of War Developer passed away to cancer and the Monolith/WB had the idea of immortalizing him in their game, which I thought was amazing and love when companies do this kind of thing.

I did notice that to get said character you needed to pay for it in DLC, I sat back bit confused, but noticed that the majority of the proceedings would go towards the family of the developer. Which I thought was amazing, still odd way of doing things, but a good cause.

That's when I got to the very end of the video and read the fine print.

"Forthog Orcslayer will be sold separately as DLC for $5/£4/€5, with $3.50 of each purchase made in the US (excluding AL, HI, IL, MA, MS, and SC) going to the Forgey family until December 31, 2019. Middle-earth: Shadow of War comes out on October 10."

So if you are not in certain states and live in the EU or anywhere else in the world, your money doesn't go to the family, but seems to go into WB pocket.

Thoughts? I myself, don't know what to think. I maybe wrong, but gives me the feeling WB are in ways profiting of the passing of this guy.
